Eliza Dusku

My drawing of the Actress Eliza Dushku. A very detailed portrait that I did a while back.
The necklace she’s wearing was a crazy thing to draw and took ages to do.
This remains one of my favourite portraits that I have done.

Size A3(42cm x 29.7cm). I used HB and 2B 5mm mechanical pencil, HB 7mm mechanical pencil, various different grades of pencil ranging from 2H – 5B, blending stumps, tissues, kneaded and normal erasers, eraser pencil.

Keeping Secrets

Lots of dark and black in this, I went through so much pencil lead doing it.
Many thanks to SaligiaStock on Deviantart for the reference - http://saligiastock.deviantart.com/
I liked the contrast between the light and dark and thought it would make an interesting drawing.
Size is A4 (210mm x 297mm) 220gsm smooth cartridge paper, HB and 2B 5mm mechanical pencil, various grades of pencil ranging from 4h to 5B, tissues, cotton buds, blending stumps and erasers.

Jessica Alba

She has long flowing hair and is wearing a white lace dress.
I used various grades of pencil, HB & 2B mechanical pencils(0.5mm), blending stumps, tissues, cotton buds and erasers. Size A3 cartridge paper (42 x 29.7cm).

Geddy Lee: Rush trio pt 1

My drawing of Geddy Lee, the lead singer, bass guitarist and keyboard player from the prog rock band Rush.
I wanted to do something different than just a normal portrait, so this is the end result of what I came up with. All sorts going on here, there's his guitar on the metal studded wall, a keyboard hidden behind some clockwork and pipes and I drew Geddy as if it was aposter of him on the wall.
The idea is based around their Time Machine tour they did a while ago and partly inspired by their Clockwork Angels album.
I listened to a lot of Rush while drawing this.
I will eventually draw the other two members of the band, with the same theme to match.
The actual portrait of Geddy is only about 15cm x 16cm, less than half the size of A4.

A4 (21cm x 29.7 cm) 220 gsm Winsor and Newton smooth cartridge paper.
Various grades of pencil ranging up to 6B, HB & 2B mechanical pencils(0.5mm), tortillions, tissues, cotton buds and erasers.

Doctor Who - The Pandorica

Doctor Who - The Pandorica.
I'm a big Doctor Who fan and I also wanted to do something a little bit different with this drawing. I came up with the idea of putting in different bits from the Doctor Who 2 part season five finale.
Size is A3, I used HB and 2B 5mm mechanical pencil, HB 7mm mechanical pencil, various different grades of pencil ranging from 2H - 5B, blending stumps, tissues, kneaded and normal erasers, eraser pencil.

Sarah Michelle Gellar

My drawing of Sarah Michelle Gellar – star of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
This is one of my favourite portraits.
I spent many hours working hard on it trying to make it as realistic as possible.
I originally drew this with a black border around it but I think it looks better shown without it.

I used HB and 2B mechanical pencil 0.5mm, blending stumps, tissues, cotton buds, normal and kneaded erasers. Size is A4.

Scarlett Johansson

An A4 size drawing (297mm x 210mm).
I put a lot of time into drawing that dress with so much white and all those ruffles.

I used HB & 2B mechanical pencil, H2, & H4 pencil, many different kinds of eraser, blending stumps and tissues.

Carol

It’s actually a drawing of my Mother. Her fiancé asked me to draw it for her Birthday, he thought it would be a nice present from the both of us, and he bought a nice frame to put this in too. He wanted clouds in the background (they both like to watch clouds and the shapes they make).
My mother was very happy with the drawing and she said it was a lovely surprise.
I didn’t have a lot of time to get this done in. It’ the reason why my Doctor Who drawing was on hold but I will be getting back to finishing that now.
It’s drawn on A3 size paper. I used HB & 2B mechanical pencil, 5B pencil, tissues, blending stumps, cotton buds and many different sorts of eraser.

Rose McGowan

One of my earlier drawings I did of the Actress – Rose McGowan.
This is a recently updated version after I did a bit more work on the drawing.

Drawn on size A4 paper using 0.5mm HB and 2B mechanical pencil, tissues, blending stumps, erasers.

Edward Cullen

This is the character Edward Cullen from the Twilight series, played by the Actor Robert Pattinson.
This was drawn for a friend who's daughter is a big Twilight fan.
Drawn on A4 size paper (210mm x 297mm).
I used HB and 2B mechanical pencils - sizes 0.7mm, 0.5mm & 0.35mm. Also many grades of pencil ranging from 2H to 5B.
I used normal, putty eraser and an eraser stick, blending stumps, tissues and cotton buds.

Amy Lee

My drawing of Amy Lee, singer and songwriter from the rock band Evanescence. One of my earliest portraits that I drew in 2009.

It was drawn on A4 paper, using HB pencil and pastels on some darker areas and hair.
